Default Half Doors: Chrylser == Bone Heads

I called my dealer to inquire if a Mopar half-door kit is available yet or not. He said just a kit for the window uppers was available.

Well, how many of these are they possibly going to sell without offering the actual doors for sale too?

We both had a good laugh about it. Freaking Chrysler boneheads.

Just had to vent.

Yes, and I've been saving for them for a year and a half now.

It's like 3K for them unpainted right now isn't it?

That's about right the last time I looked. The big hassle for me is making sure I get a complete kit of parts. Spending hours with the parts book at the dealer picking out individual part numbers doesn't sound like much fun.

Yep, full doors are only like 6K! What a deal!

I have half doors and mainly because of how many times I have went to my jeep and found that someone had been in it.(The last time they cut my soft window and the doors wasn't even locked!) I posted on a salvage parts web site for full doors and got a few responses from texas and new york. both had full sets and wanted $750 for each door along with $400 s&h for each door. Still to steep for me.

I inquired about the half doors at my dealership and they got really pissy with me. They said "You do know these aren't accessories right?"

I was like... I just wanted to know how much they were so I could either save up for them, or forget the whole thing... that's why you ask questions.

At least my wife said she'd meet me half way on the cost. That's cool of her. I was thinking about half doors on the rear only, I wish I could see what that would look like.

What I find amazing is the fact that so many people want them, including me and that they aren't available, no wonder Chrysler is doing so bad... One would think they could make quite a bit of needed extra cash by selling them as an accessory.

If someone stole your full doors you could get half doors.
