I disagree completely with leaving the doors open.
I have a good freind cop that we had this discussion with and he even said that a lot of times in mid day low life douch bags will walk in full parking lot and just pull handles and if the door is open they'll just take what they can (easy steal)
yes if they really want to get in they will but why make it easy on them...

meh, there is nothing to steal in my Jeep, not even the insurance papers. Better than having a broken door lock and having to pay to get it fixed.

Sad state of affairs a person can't feel like he can lock his vehicle. To bad you can't walk up in back of them, shoot them in the head and be done with it. If you could there would be a lot less crime.

Thieves and vandals, I could shoot either one and walk away.

Having a soft top I don't lock the doors. If I leave anything of value in the jeep I lock it in the console. Only time I lock is if I go to the city or the dogs in the jeep

Why can't people just leave others things alone.

All I can say is if I catch you, you will be carrying something inside you when they find you next to where you stole from me !!! (Depends on what I'm carrying but, somewhere between 7 and 13 pieces of LEAD) and btw yes I did fear for my life and those around me....

They should just stick to picking up trash on the side of the road....at least thats useful!

Sucks to hear they cut the soft top. 3 weeks ago someone went into my truck but lucky for me they unzipped the window and jumped in. Guessing the guy that broke into my jeep was a jeep owner?
I also recommend not locking anything as I keep everything unlocked so they didn't damage my glove box but the car beside me got broken window and crowbar to his glove box to get it open which destroyed his dash.
