Sorry a scumbag gotcha. There's plenty of them around. I had my JK 3 weeks and someone backed or bumped into the rear bumper. Now every one knows what the stock bumpers are like, especially the rear. Although it wasn't a bad smush it was noticeable. I went the next day to find out what a new stock bumper was , $220, but I lucked out and they had one that was on a jk for 5 days while a guy was waiting for his off-road bumpers to come in from Mopar. I paid $100 bucks for it. Now the worst part of this is that it was parked at my buisiness, and I own a martial arts school. There would have been hell to pay if I would have caught them and they were trying to drive off. In a way I'm glad I didn't or I'd be in jail right now.

Let me tell you about my car. I've owned my car for 8 years. In that time, it has been backed into twice, hit from behind by a drunk driver, had the convertible roof and tires slashed by thieves, had two sideview mirrors ripped off by punk kids, and been dented by hit-and-runs twice. Guess what. Those two hit-and-runs happened IN THE SAME WEEK.

I can only conclude my car is cursed.

And this especially sucks because I take immaculate care of it. Despite everything that has happened, if you look in my driveway today, you will see a car that looks almost brand new. Because I love it and have had it repaired each time. With my own money and my own deductibles.

But let me tell you this. If I ever saw one of the incidents happen in person, I've got a tire iron and I would take the deductible out of their hides. You don't mess with a man's car.

Nothing's happened to the Jeep yet. I now have a garage, so I intend to keep it that way.

Messing with a man's car is the lowest thing I know of. Do it and burn in hell.

Okay, I'm done.

That doesn't sound like the kind of place I like to live near.

My wife hit a car last year when the owner wasn't around. There is absolutely no way that they ever would have known who did it. We didn't think twice about skipping out on it though. Just not ethical. We left a note with all of our info.

Something will catch up to the guy that did that to your Jeep.
Not in my experience.
On this earth, the most selfish, self-centered, arrogant, lazy pr_cks are the ones that get ahead. (and it's getting worse)

True enough. But I try to fool myself into thinking something will catch up to a jerk like that. Who knows, it could happen.

I concur with those above:

Hit and Run drivers are 100%, Grade "A", lean cut, USDA choice, farm fresh douche bags of the highest caliber. It's common courtesy and just plain morally correct to leave a note with your contact information. Eight years ago when I was still on campus, I ultra mauled an Acura Integra with a Dodge Ram Vam 2500 (owned by the school) in a parking structure. I freakin' ultra got that mess, but I felt mega bad, so I left a note with all my contact information.

You know what?

The dude (or chick) never called me back, and the school said not to even sweat the van. The good Lord had my back that day, on the real.

I just bought a 99 wrangler, I love it, so new to me i dont even have a picture to post. The other day at work i left to get some lunch and my Mopar Brushguard and bent in on the right side and it had completley folded my passenger side fender inwards and shattered my flare. I was extremly disapointed to see that no one left a note or anything. Some people are so inconsiderate. Still waiting to see how much this will set me back. But i feel your pain.
