...have you found out the address of the folks who own the cat? Send them a a bill for all new flooring and seats. Cat urine will be there forever.

I got the trail cover, but its twice the material of a softtop(covers doors also) plus it doesnt have the nice lever system to help you take it on/off so you can only imagine how cumbersome that is to take on and off...

I can understand why people would be upset at those claiming to kill the cat, but would you let your kids wander the neighborhood or even your dog?

I've only ever seen the cat a couple of times, but i've seen paw prints in and on the jeep for as long as i can remember. I'm not sure who owns the cat.

Do some research on your city ordinances, county limitations, or state laws. If possible, may I recommend a live trap.

Put a live trap in ur jeep and relocate the cat. Sometimes that event is traumatic enough for the cat to not return.

Don't brag about or speak to the neighbors about the live trap if you use it.

Oh, and the cat will make a lot of noise once captured like when they screw. So be prepared to leave in the middle of the night to relocate it.

If it comes back, repeat. You will have to decide on how to keep it from returning a third time...

It's a shame if this is someone's "part-time pet". Letting a "pet" roam all night is irresponsible. It's causing damage to another person's property. If it's a ferrel cat and someone is feeding them in the area, that's really not responsible either.

If it was a racoon or a mouse, I doubt there would be so much attitude thrown around.

Good luck sir.

I would love to see the reaction when a kitty jumped into a Jeep full of Huskies!

Cat: "What the...., hi fellas...."

Dog1: "Ooooooo wook, a chew toy!"
Dog2: "MINE!
Dog1: "No, MINE!"

Call the pound. The cat should not be in your jeep. Eventually the cat will either end up with an owner that cares enough to keep track of it, or the current owner will get tired of paying fines and ultimately keep track of it.
Remember it's not the cats fault, it's the cat's owners fault.

Used to have a couple of husky+elkhound crosses... One time, they both got a hold of opposite ends of a big gray squirrel. I'll let you guys visualize from there.

I adopted the stray cat that was hanging around the back of my place, lovely black tom that is one of the most affectionate docile house pets I've ever had. Took about two weeks for him to calm down (adjust to indoor life after being outside all summer), but he's a great companion with an amazing personality. This cat is more like a dog than anything (plays fetch, sleeps at the foot of the bed and greets me at the door when I come home).

Having said that, some of the comments in this thread are off. Meant to be funny...sure, but twisted nonetheless.

The tape is a great idea, prickly floor mats also work and some pet stores sell territorial pheromones you can spray in the area that make you the "dominant" presence to drive the cat away.

trapping the cat is a great idea, just be careful when releasing!
