I broke my JK in driving it BRISKLY. Not being abusive to it , but I didn't and don't pussyfoot around in it. I tell you at 4000 miles it came ALIVE. Very responsive, and I've never had any converter lockup issues. When I touch the throttle it downshifts THEN. When I let off the throttle the converter locks up then-no chatter. I think a good firm break-in period keeps the converter from becoming ''lazy''....These JK's seem to program themselves by driving styles.....

To get an accurate tire diameter to put into the hypertech programmer just put a chalk/tape mark on the centre of the bottom sidewall - put mark on ground - move the jeep one wheel revolution - put mark on ground - measure distance between marks and divide by 3.1416 (pi) - answer will be actual rolling diameter. This will change slightly in relation to tire pressure so do this calculation with the pressure you normally run. Do this with the wheel mounted on the jeep. Hope this helps someone.

Thats what i did. Got 30.87, put 31 into the programmer. Supposed to be a 32 inch tire tough..

Was a BFG Mud Terrain at 35 PSI.
