Now that I looked at it more I guess that could have been from the axle rolling out from the jeep.

Sorry to hear about that, They must have known what they were going for, and what it was that they were stealing. They may just turn up somewhere like ebay or craigslist.

But They'd better be free.

I'm sure they will pay for it, they just might need a little attitude adjustment. No one likes a lawsuit, expecially if you're already almost out of buisness.

I would not be surprised if it was an inside job, some dumb fuck lackey tech had his moron redneck friend come in late night to steal it. I bet someone at that dealership knows who has it. I had one guy try to steal from me, he stared down the barrel of a remington pump.

Sorry to hear this. Very discouraging.

I agree with Ryanc. Those arms don't just pop off easily when the bolts are loosened - pretty certain they would have had to jack it up, and then get the height adjusted just perfectly to relieve the tension on those bolts so they could pull them out. That takes some time . . . normally. But I've heard how insanely efficient some of those lowlifes are - maybe they have some "trick" that makes it fast and easy.

Will be on the lookout down in my neck of the woods.

don't even worry about it, man. it was in THEIR possesion, therefore it is THEIR problem.

i don't know how close you are with your dealership, but i've got mine to HATE me. i'm making them give me a new "bag" that the soft top was rolled up in, just because mine had ripped latches and buttons. most people just toss them, but if you flip it inside out you can use it as a boot.

also, only one of my doors had a bolt in it. again, most people toss them away immediately, but if i'm buying a brand new vehicle i'm damn sure getting absolutely everything it should come with.

also, i had to fork over 30 bucks for an inspection sticker because their "guy" wasn't in that day. they said i would be reimbursed, and that was back in march. i've reminded them 3 times, still nothing. it's only 30 bucks, but it's the principle of the fact.

there's a much more reputable jeep dealer right near my house (not where i bought my jeep), so i'm going to have all my work done there instead. in the meantime, don't be afraid to put your foot down and get what you deserve.

keep me updated on this. this sounds like something that would happen to me, and i want to make sure everything works out in your favor.

When you find who did this give me a call, I got a place to put the bodies that they will NEVER be found (there wont be bodies for long anyway). Reguardless of what people thought about the giveaway or you individually, to touch another guys Jeep (or wife, or gun) is inexcusable!!! And if the dealership says they dont think they will cover it, I would politley tell them all further communication will be thru your lawyer and walk away. It would be the same as if your JK was in my driveway and robbed, my homeowners would be primary insurance, not yours.
