Thumbs up Jeep JT Truck Photo Gallery

If the rumors are true and the new Jeep Truck is going to be built on a JK platform, I would have to imagine that the final product will look a lot closer to the existing military J8 or, the JT that was debuted back in 2007. Built completely off a JK Unlimited, the JT even retained it's rear coil springs. Here are a series of photos that we took of the JT in Moab...

Not bad. (I still prefer the Nukizer though) I like that it doesn't have that side-mounted tire like the Gladiator concept did. But I do want to know why they put a swinging gate on the bed of a truck instead of one that folds down???

I like the simplicity of this truck. Any idea what size tires it has? I also like the hood, I wonder if the air intake has been rerouted to the back of the hood.

Thanks, I like it. I noticed that the spare in the truck bed pretty much occupies the whole bed. I wonder how placing the spare in the rear side passenger like the old Willis or the hood like an old Land Rover would look.

If they do this they need to find some way to undersling that tire and get it out of the way. Having to keep the spare in the bed defeats the purpose of the bed IMO. And forgive me, but mounting it on the side is disgusting looking (to me).

Move the muffler and stick that sucker under the bed IMO. You could even raise the bed floor up a tad to give you more room.

It is not the Nukizer, but if that was to be their answer, I would still be lining up for one!
-Change the tailgate to open like a pickup should, -find a spot for the spare (I think on the side like the Gladiator is kind of cool and old school IMO), -Don't box the fenders in the bed like that (it is a small bed, we would need every inch possible of space) -Offer at least a Rubicon edition (if not even more hardcore), -Don't make the hardtop color matched, -raise the bed sides a bit (I think that is a big reason why it looks a little strange) ----and...........Give us a better drivetrain!!! It needs to be able to haul/tow at least a decent amount after all. -----Oh and one more thing Jeep - STOP TEASING US AND BUILD A TRUCK ALREADY!

I like it very much but the bed should bé raised at least the same height as the doors ( bottom of door glass height). And like somebody said it should be able to tow more than 3500lbs. The side of the bed could be made with locking panels to get some storage for our winch accessories and small bits.

Here are a few more pics that I remembered taking at the Superchips SEMA booth. As you can see, they added a rear bumper tirer carrier to it...
