JK or not?
No, it wasn't Herb Chambers... It was Brigham-Gill motorsports... Looked like a nice place, but obviously not. I don't know how familiar you are with the area, but I'm probably going to hit up route 1 tomorrow and see where i can get down there...
It's tough trying to choose between two cars of such different use. I've always had a 4wd vehicle, which is one reason the Jeep is so appealing. Meanwhile, the appeal of a "oh so reliable, yet incredibly fun to drive" honda civic si keeps me flip flopping back and forth...

i had driven a few tj's in the past so i knew i wanted a jeep when i looked for a new car. i bought my jk through military car sales while i was overseas without test driving it once and to be honest i couldnt be more happy on and off road. for the money i wouldnt want anything else out there. it does tend to be a little hesitant with mid range umph on the expressway but thats only after i put my lift and 33's on it. ive gotten more compliments on my jk than any other vehicle ive ever owned except for my 72 nova SS. its a fun vehicle and onroad id give it a B grade but offroad an A is for sure. hope this helped

I am thoroughly enjoying my JK and would do it again. With stock tires, it had plenty of go. With larger, heavier tires, and driving hills, the auto-overdrive is a dog and is too sluggish for my tastes. I just turn od off for my hilly commute.
What's the wait time on these things anyways? Also, are the X suspension and sahara suspensions the same? Can I just buy my own wheels and tires for the X, to get the same height as the sahara, without a lift?
Best bet is to do your own online searching rather than trying to find one randomly on a lot. I spent quite some time doing this myself, but found what I wanted and my local dealer brought it up here for me...otherwise I wouldn't have hesitated to drive down to MD myself and buy it there. Just hit the 'find a dealer' option on the Jeep website and type in a zip code. Expand your search a bit by using cities in other parts of the state if your local market is a bit dry, they're out there if you look for them.
This'll help you find a lot that has a couple for a test drive as well....completely skipped over the test drive part there didn't I

Ugh... A little sad right now... After all this, I was almost set on going and buying a jeep, even without test driving one... But I just spent a few minutes configuring a Wrangler... and the dual top option killed me! I didn't realize it was a $2,000 option. It really puts me out of my price range.... The wrangler may end up being just a dream car for me after all this...
Other than some f***ing stupid dog who came into our Jk and scratched the seats up, its been fine, and it stalling twice. Its been fine, and ours has 11,000 Miles on it already. Then again, ours was bought in November.
