I bought a cobra handheld with a 30'' collapsible antannae. Works for me- also came standard with mag antannae for the sound bar. Has a belt clip, clip it on, go where I want- if the little bastards want it they can see me in person...

i might have to try the mud mod. sounds like fun!

they took a crappy jacket sitting under my seat for when it rains. i bought it from goodwill. i think they would have taken anything they could find. they did leave my suntan lotion. there are marks around the radio were they tried to get that out. so i was screwed either way. i just shouln't have gone. i bet if i would have had the top on they would have cut it just for fun.

the tuffy glovebox is going to be a welcomed upgrade, if anything just to deter the opertunistc thieves. and to save my wifes hairbrush and mirror.

i might look closer at the handhelds.

i'll stop whinening now. thanks for listening. oh and for the houston guys, if you like movie theaters, the new one on 249 is nice but ride with somebody else. (they have a full service bar in there)

Always sorry to hear about LOW LIFE people. They tried to get into my car right in my driveway at 1 am last weekend. I always leave it unlocked and nothing inside.

As soon as they opened the door... BAM the alarm starts blaring... all the neighbors got up and identified the suspects car, and before I could even turn off the alarm the deputy was right behind it. I told him my passenger door was opened by someone and within 20 minutes they had caught the two punks.

Now I am pressing charges against both. Maybe they will grow up - or maybe the next time since they now have a record they will get tougher sentences.

Anyway the alarm worked exactly as I wanted it to.

I agree that movie theater parking lots are the worst places to leave a Jeep. When we had a previous Jeep and came out one night there were 4 teenagers in front of the Jeep. Three were sitting on the hood talking to the 4th. I'm sure they didn't intend to break into the Jeep, they were just hanging out. My husband demanded they get off the hood, and they promptly did and took off. However, as they slid on and off the hood the rivets in their jeans left long gouges in the hood.

Tambil68, was that the stock alarm that comes with the power package or did you install and aftermarket alarm? I'm thinking about getting an alarm for the Jeep to act as an additional deterrent.
