Chris

Your products are excellent (well except for the handle on the tire carrier :P). Truly, I think the best out there.

However, there are some things that every other company does which LoD does not and yet LoD often costs more. You said you are always there to help but not being around to answer calls and often being short on the phone with customers (I've been on the other end), shows that you have some work to do on the customer service side.

Your products do not come with instructions yet are some of the most expensive out there. While I personally believe they are the best and I have purchased sliders, gen 2 bumper/tire carrier and front mid width and I think they are worth the money, customer service dictates that detailed instructions should come with them. Especially considering you just said you have one phone line and cant always answer it. Really, it isnt a big leap, I got a set of instructions with my $20 stick on door rail guards, I expect some with a $1000 dollar bumper even if they are just on your website in PDF for me to print off.

Do not take this personal, it is buisness bro. If you want to be considered as a company who is "always there for the customer" then you need to address these things people here (and elsewhere) have been complaining about now for a long time. You wouldnt have to take so many phone calls if the information was right there in the first place.

Right now I tell everyone the same thing. LoD has 5 Star products with 2 star customer service. Customer service isn't suppose to be at your convenience or on your terms.

We have recently changed our process at our powder coater to make the coating the best possible and it slowed us down too. We are also bringing in new machinery to help us speed the process but unfortunately the effects don't take place overnight. So I really don't know what else to say but we always take care of our customers, whatever they need.

I had an issue fitting my new 35x12.50 Mud Grapplers with stock wheels onto my LOD Gen 2 bumper / carrier. The backspacing of the stock wheel wouldn't allow the lug bolts to come even close to me being able to put the lug nuts on.
Called Chris, informed him of my problem, we talked about my options. He fabbed up a new tire mount bracket that was an inch longer. Shipped it to me @ no charge. Got it, installed it ............. everything fits like a glove!

That's good customer service to me. LOD will be my choice for a front bumper. No doubt.

While I love LOD products, the wait is really a deal killer for me. I'm looking for a stinger to replace my ARB full width, and LOD is at the top of the list... but, I don't really want to wait six weeks to spend almost twice as much as the OR-Fab

I have personally been to there shop, I am suprised they even have internet being located out in the middle of no where. All you see is corn corn and more corn!! They do build some heavy duty nice bumpers though. My only complaint is the powder coating, comes off easily. I would recommend their products though!!

I have to add to this. I ordered some Rock Sliders over 2 months ago. Maybe it is lame, but they were intended to be used for steps for my pregnant wife. I got an email the next day that they had shipped. A week later I called to see where they were. Maybe a tracking number? They're response was they would ship next week. 3 weeks later I called again and I was told it would be another 2 weeks. Now it has been over 8 weeks. I called today and they said at best they would have it out by the end of the week. They told me they were real sorry a d they would do something for me because it was so late - they would email me a tracking number at the end of the week ! So they took my money 2 months ago, they won't respond to emails (yea I sent a few and never got a response), they lied to me every time I called, and all I get for my troubles is a promise that they will send me a tracking number. Thanks guys, next time I will buy from somebody else.

I picked up my jeep at Northrige about July 13th and David told me LOD would be sending me shortly the Logos they were missing on the bumpers. On Sept. 2nd I e-mailed David and informed him I was still waiting on the Logos and he sent me this:

James,

I just spoke with LOD and they are shipping directly to you today.

Today is October 11th and I am still waiting. I have had three people ask me who makes the bumpers and I just shrug my shoulders and say I can't recall.

Thanks. No need for you to apologize, you’re only responsible for the way you conduct business and in that regard you do a great job. It does tend to amaze me how so many businesses shoot themselves in the foot when it comes to customer’s service; they do themselves as much disservice as they do their customers.
It really isn’t about the Logo as much as principle. I could care less about a logo other than the bumper is drilled for it. And the fact my wife has asked me on more than one occasion about it and I think we all know how that goes. “Shit does run down hill.”
Thanks again and my wife and I wish you the best on your move to your new shop.

Did you order them from Dave at Northridge or LoD ? I have these same sliders and ordered them though Dave, for the customer service issues mainly. He will help you with LoD shipping ETA's.
Like the old bus ad "leave the driving to us", one call to Dave and he's on top of it for you.
