"Mall Crawler"
Interesting comments. I bought my JKU to camp and explore the backcountry. Not interested in 'wheelin'. It's stock right now but the most I will do to it is put on some 33s with a 2 inch lift.
I bet I'd probably be considered a mall crawler as well.

I do the same thing, do a lot of "boondocking" camping. If i was going to do a lot of wheeling, i'd build a dedicated rig with no Chrysler Co. parts.
welcome to the club of thousands, saying "most they will ever do is 33's with a 2 inch lift"...when you get that you decide 33's are too stuffed in a 2 inch lift so you get a 3-4" lift...then you go shit...to much space between the 33's and the fenders, should I get 35's or 37s? youll ask the forum members and probably choose 35's because you want hte best mileage, youll get the 35s and immediately be unhappy so you'll get 37s a couple months later after you sell your 35s in the forums to the same guy you sold your 33s to, youl get your 37s on and get your new tire carrier/bumper you have to get for it, and you wont like that your front bumper is still stock so youll change that. Then youll decide with the 37s on, they are a tad too stuffed again so youl get flat fenders, and you want like how your shitty 4" lift rides so youll start looking in to tearing it out and upgrading to a long arm kit...before you know it youve spend 25k on your jeep in the blink of an eye...it will happen...and you will love it...its not a matter of if its a matter of when, welcome to the club!!

I work a job that does not let me get out of cell phone range often. That has limited my excursions hours away to my favorite spots.
I love my Wrangler as a DD. Even though I have other vehicles that ride nicer and get better MPG they mostly sit in the garage. Our newer 2012 Cherokee has less than 2k on it since last September.
Family and friends have become spoiled. If they get stuck or need something heavy moved around outside they call me up so I will come over, hook up, lock the axles, and make something move. If the weather gets really bad I become a taxi service to some of my kin, who are old or do not like to drive in the stuff. I don't usually mind but am kind of glad it only has 2 seats!
I think the last couple years it gets used more as a tractor/emergency response vehicle than an off roader. But it does fit the muddy, dusty environment I live in.
No malls within 25 or 30 miles though and anyway it is easier to shop on line
