Question Mopar OEM Rubicon Express Suspension Kit

I've seen it written up in FourWheeler, and also seen some discussions on it here. But, no one speaks to any details. My dealer the copy of FourWheeler in the service dept, which talked about the kit, but they too have not heard anything yet on when/what/how much.

Has anyone heard that it'll be the Rubicon Express kit for sure? Also, which kit? They have a budget boost kit, and they have their traditional lift kits... I'm hoping that the lift that's OEM'd will be at least 3.5". I haven't called RE on the phone yet to talk with them.. does anyone here know?

Regards,

-Ted

That kit, at 4.5" will be too much lift for what I want. I was hoping for something in the 3" range, so I could run 35s.. and not have any problems with height and MA inspections. I need something that'll fit into the parking garage at the airport, and 4.5" lift with 37s would be too tall. 35s might be too small with that much lift... hmm..

IMO 3" is not enough to run 35's...I had the RE 3.5" kit before this one and it was ok, but I still had tires rubbing under full flex.

I think 35's look fine with the 4.5" long arm

What I've learned today is that the lift will be the 4.5" long arm kit, as FourWheeler and others have discussed. But, what's not out there yet is the fact that the deal is not formalized yet between RE and Mopar. So, there is a chance that it might happen, or it might not. I sense that it'll be likely that they will offer a kit in the future. Now, on the topic of smaller lift sizes, the only size currently in discussion is the 4.5" LA kit. This, being the first kit to come from the relationship, smaller ones being a possibility over the course of time.

I have the RE 3.5" lift with 35's I think it looks just right. There are some minor rubbing at full flex but i think its just the airdam, which i haven't decided if i'm taking off. The 4.5 is a nice choice but i couldn't handle the huge extra cost from the 3.5" kit. If money wasn't an option i would have gone with the 4.5 as well.

I was informed by several different people with insider info that IF it does happen it will be a year or two down the road........that sucks!!!!! imagine a dealer installed lift that would not void the LIFETIME warranty!!

Technically speaking, anything over 2inches is illegal in MA
