Need Advice ASAP about dealership mess up!
Your steering parts should not be any worse than they were if they were removed correctly. However, if it is going to go that route..make sure they align it for their screw up at least. Or see what you can do on working with the cost of the parts, it's up to you.
There is nothing wrong, in my opinion, with them reinstalling the old parts and aligning it. They screwed up and are putting it back to how it was. Or your option is to pay for new stuff. In my opinion them accidentally installing new parts doesn't quite make it 'free' or 'crazy cheap' if you wanted to do it. However, since it's been done I would recommend you offer to pay for parts and not labor if you want the parts. It's easier for the dealership to pay the tech his $20/hr for two hours and keep it on there, than it is for him to remove the stuff again.
