50 cents. Talk about a bargain!
I think I'll go muddy up the Jeep and let 'em at it.
Then give them $10 bucks.

maybe tell the parents about the $10 first, so they don't think you are being a dick.
Put a video camera on the dash and record the whole thing. Their faces will be great, but I would love to hear what they say.

My brother in law had his car washed for a fund raiser and was bitching about the scratches on his car afterwards. I asked him if he had ever seen them wash them? Some people don't think anything about using the mitt on the lower panels and wheels and tires and then go to the upper parts. I've seen mitts dropped and go right to the paint etc.
I'm very picky though with mine. 2 mitts (upper and lower) that's just my preference though

Lessons learned
My kids like to hose it off, I wash the paint. Let them earn the $, however just for cleaning the wheels, don't need the swirls & holidays. Be a good neighbor, watch out for any suspicious characters driving up with a van & no windows. (IT HAPPENS).

I won't stop at a fund raiser car wash if it's for a good cause I will stop and throw in $5 but won't let them touch the vehicle. I have watched some of these kids...don't even rinse the vehicle and start using the sponge and you can see mud and dirt scratching the clearcoat. Or better you see them drop the sponge or mitt into a pile of dirt or gravel and don't even rinse it and start washing...
I am picky like many on this forum....I will use 1 or 2 mitts depending on how dirty the vehicle is....I work from the top down to the rockers and wheels and tires last. I will get my kids to rinse as much mud and dirt of the vehicle before I use the mitt and soapy water. Then I get them to rinse off the soap to earn some $$$.
