The results of this poll and the comments made is one of the key reasons we love the Jeep community so much... Its also the reason Jeep is such a successful brand. By making slight but significant changes and staying close to the roots... they are always going to keep the old Jeeper and attract new Jeepers... (much like Porsche and the 911 series).

Good stuff guys....

Well considering the SRT6 concept is one I built my Jeep on, I'm going to vote yes. Not for the April Fool's Day concept pic, but personally (and I'm slightly biased), I think if you're going to make a "hybrid" jeep, there's no need to lower it. I wanted to combine some urban elements, luxury and everything that makes a Jeep and Jeep. I've been slightly distracted with work to finish it up, but basically, I felt from the start that the RIPP SC was the ideal power adder for the project and I'm looking forward to upgrading my 1st gen kit to the much improved 2nd gen one. Add to that larger than normal rims, along with big brakes, and yes big tires, leather, upgraded sound, some custom touches to the interior trim and I think you're looking at a very strong all around package.

I just figure why do 1 thing well when the Jeep is capable of doing just about all things well. Plus I think it's a question of where you live. Obviously a JK with a more urban flair is going to play better in places like LA, NY and DC and likely not quite as well in the midwest.

Hold on a second here. Let's think OUTSIDE the box!

That jeep comes with a winch and a 6.1 hemi with other do-dads. If I can get all the plastic crap off as well as the top, I bet I could rebuild the suspension into a regular JK AND it probably has a 60 in the rear, or sometihng comparable. It's 4wd, buy looking at the front tires smoking so most stuff is there to convert it into a 6.1 Hemi Off-Road macine!!

Gimme a shot at it and I'll have hit looking like a RED version of my Rubicon, but with a 6.1 baby!!!

The question is - can a JK do Range Rover Sport?

Focus on the trim....

You know, the first thought that crossed my mind was the YJ Renegade package:

There is a market for most things. Lets say the Jeep RIPPMODS posted was an actual edition of the Wrangler, and lets say that edition came with a Hemi right from the factory with warranty and all.

Lets also say that the only thing you would have to do to save that piece of junk from a life of shame was to dump $3K to $4K in it in the form of lift kit, bumpers, (new fenders) and other little things to remove the yuck and bring out the beast....

Would everyone's opinion of this vehicle change then?

I talked to Vanilla rIce about this and he told me: "I would be afraid of spilling my mocha soy latte on my Ed Hardy shirt, and the gold sticker flying off my flat billed sideways cap the first time that thing death wobbled at 90. Yo."

But seriously, decent concept, needs less rice. I almost bought a Chickoree SRT8 recently but decided to save the money for JK goodies.
