I would imagine the Service Department would know. I mean, how can something so big like that not make it to the Dealer?

I would Imagine that as long as you did the comparison within the same bracket of mileage you would find out whether the performance increased, but to get the final performance number I would waid til after 5000. Just to be on the safe side.

You will enjoy it. If you do a lot of driving is a little quieter than the older ones.

I got mine about 2 weeks ago, I've put around 800 miles on it. Absolutely no change in gas mileage, I still get around 16-17

What gears do you have. I'm really curious how people get such terrible fuel mileage. I've never got lower than 15 in a JK even the old ones.

Hi all. I just want to say that the worst gas mileage I have got was around 20.

My 2013 JKU with 3.21 gearing and stock 32"s gets a solid 16mpg back and forth to work (15 Miles one way) but that's CA traffic going 75 mph bumper to bumper; if you go slower someone will run up your butt. (or it's a parking lot) When I go to NV I get around 19-20mpg.

What a load of crap! Some manufacturers will install hardware that will not allow vehicles to exceed certain RPM limits during transport from the factory to the dealer but that hardware is removed at the dealer level before the vehicle is delivered to the end user. There is no "self-terminating governor" and the computer is not set to "almost limp mode" for the first 500 miles. If you don't believe me see how many RPM's you can hit on your way home after taking delivery of your new JK. My bet is you can hit the rev-limiter which is north of 6,500 RPM's. I have had a new JK with both the 3.8 and 3.6 engine and had nothing holding me back from hitting redline using full throttle before reaching 500 miles.

Only if you hit 88 mph. Don't scare DOC when you stop though.
