Default Radio and rain?

I run a mesh top all the time right now.

Sometimes a pop up shower hits.

Do you guys cover up you radio? With what? Should I be worried about it?

Just because it is a Jeep doesn't mean the electronics are waterproof.

x2. Can't be good for the electronics. May not see anything right away, but eventually the moisture will cause problems. This is true even in the marine industry where the electronics are waterproof.

Mine not only gets rained on I pressure wash it from like 6in away when I get the inside all muddy. I have had no problems with mine. Don't think rain is going to hurt it.

I've done it prob 10 times or more w/o problems. If it goes out oh well if I was that worried about it I wouldn't take the top off

There's a difference between taking the top off and exposing it to rain, or actually pushing water in under pressure. I don't care what anybody says, electronics and water don't mix. Like I said, you may not see any problems right away.........but wait a few years. But if you're good with it, by all means HAVE AT IT.....!!!
