My top leaks pretty bad and covers the instrument cluster, steering column, etc. with water everytime it rains. Nothing has stopped working yet...

2 hours of rain with top up, windows up. if you are curious.

Mine has been rained in about 5 times. No problems.

ONE THING TO LOOK OUT FOR:

If you havent pulled the drain plug where your jack sits, it will get mold down in there all over your jack stand and stuff. Make sure you pull it period.

from april to october i drive without top and doors and I don't have a garage either. my jk gets rained on and i presser wash the inside after 4 wheeling and i have had minor problems. I also run my jk through the washer every 3 months.

once my engine stayed on after I turned off the jeep and pulled the key out. this was fixed once the jk got dried.
MyGig screen was f'ed up once and again got fixed once it dried out
few time my horn went off once i turned on the jk and again all went to normal operation once it dried out. I will say lot of the unpainted metal inside of my jk is all rusted out due to rain and presser washer.

I did they are "the other dealer" the first one said "all jeeps leak". DC won't help either. I have a vehicle with 14k miles on it that cannot be driven in the rain.

I looked at a unlimited TJ the other day, and it had obviously spent some time open in the wind, rain, and sun. The seats were kinda stiff, faded, and dried out feeling. I wonder if JKs will turn out the same way?

Do some searching. The hardtops leak between the Freedom panels. It can usually be fixed though. The problem I have though is that the dealer has tried to fix it many times, and can't get it to stop. I contacted Jeep hoping for some type of resolution but they told me they can't help me and to go back to the dealer. So I have to live with a leaky Jeep. My situation is probably pretty rare, but if you are one of the ones that has it, do not expect Jeep to help you.

I am building a website to warn people about this so I have collected some photos of hardtop leaks too. Most have leaked on the center console and the door pillars. If you want to see some photos PM me.
