Rain on the interior?
I have a hard top.... has never leaked.
Then again, I live in Ca. A hard rain here is equivalent to a gentle misting to any state that is not California! ! !
It's a trade-off. Great weather, but in return we get: earthquakes, devastating yearly fires, Oakland, Los Angeles and Berkeley.

bringing this thread back to life. this is my first jeep, we have 4 wranglers at the moment and had a yj and have tj and they usually had the top off just for a weekend every 2 months so they didnt see alot of rain. i love having the top and doors off and i will have them off for 4 months now in winter, but in winter here it rains sometimes, and i wanted to ask with the doors off and a bikini top on while driving how much rain will come in? and what exactly started to rust with some off you? and the seats wont they rot with time, since it will be cold the seats wont dry up so fast? thanks

They interior is a lot more sustainable to rain than people complain about. Now, granted I have had one electrical problem, but it fixed it self when it dried up. And I'm in Texas, so it might be a little different.
- The larger of the backseats in the Unlimited began to rust after 2 storms (but that's easy to paint).
- I have Iggee, so the seats stay dry no matter how wet the covers get.
- I placed weatherstripping along the sides of every plastic removable piece from the dash (helps a lot with keeping the electronics drier).
- If just doors off, your entire left half (or right half) of your body will be drenched if it's a bad storm. Mild rain, just your shoulder and leg a little damp.
- ALL the unpainted metal framework in the dash is rusted, but not bad. One day I'll take everything thing off and POR-15 it all.
- No carpet and no bedliner, and no rust on tub after 8 months.
- THE MAIN PROBLEM is now trying to install a hand held wiper for the inside of the windshield. It gets wet fast with no doors
I have the doors off ALL the time and sometimes a bikini/soft top on when it rains.
