Rain on the interior?
So I was wondering how bad it would be if it rained hard enough to get the front dash wet, to include the radio. I would imagine they'd build it so it'd run off appropriately and not get into any electronics... but then again... not everyone is as smart as me. j/k!
Electronics are never waterproof. I wouldn't go spraying a hose in there just to find out. It can handle dampness, but it would need to dry out, as people have found out when their horn starts blaring after a rain.
Yeah, but you could fill a book with the modified, wrong, or blatant lies that Jeep dealers have said.

Cool, that's what I wanted to know. Mine got a little damp, but nothing crazy like pouring a hose down the AC vents, hehe. Thanks for the heads up. Rainy season is wonderful...
It SHOULD be fine. I had mine with the top up and doors off at lunch. Came back to find the entire dash, and half of the windshield moist from rain (not dew) and dried it off. 3 months later (today) everything is still like factory. (Was gonna say perfect, but it never started that way).

common sense people. there is no such thing as a water proof vehicle. electronics will fail when wet. that's just fact. if you get your jeep wet from having the top off, odds are you'll be fine. but to ever believe that you can run around topless forever without incident is just plain dumb.
Back in May my Rubi sat in about 2 hours of nasty thunderstorms (no sprinkles here, we're talkin cats n dogs)- top and doors off. I couldn't do anything about it becuase I was out wheelin in a buddy's Chevy- and we got stuck! The whole time we're tryin to free that beast I knew my Jeep was fillin up like a bathtub on mud terrains...
Anywhoo, dried that sucker off with a few towels that hotels have graciously donated to me over the years, and it was good as new. Zero issues.
Yer mileage may vary, of course...
