Roll over!!
So my last putting in my 2007 2dr before I was gonna strip her down and trade it for a four dour. I rolled it, damn sucks. Luckly no one was hurt but my pride and trade in value lol. So I went ahead and started the tear down last night and took off work today. Going pretty smooth so far. Gotta find a rear track bar and stock tires. Then get all the sheet metal fixed. She still runs with no issues. Wondering how much does it take to total it from the insurance? Would the frame have to be bent? Just thinking. Still gonna try and fix it to the best of my skills before I send it off to someone. Hopefully it's not too much!! Or I'll just see what an as is trade on it would be... Any input from the group??
If your looking for help from the insurance company they ( most insurance co.) will want to see an accident report from the police and they will want to make sure it was on a road... Not in the woods. Best of luck to ya.
Back when I worked at a body shop during college I know that the damage had to be more than 80% of the vehicles Actual Cash Value to get it totalled out. Since you rolled it you might be very close. It just all depends on your insurance co. Best of luck!
I had heard that for a TJ, if the corners of the tub were crushed it would get totaled because the whole tub would need replacing. I don't know this for a fact, but when my buddy's TJ got rear ended that's what they used to total it. I'm not sure how different the JK is built.

Well I was going to say that most rollovers (complete roll overs - landing on top or rolling 180 degrees) will cause an automatic total due to the possible compromise of the structural integrity but since your's laid on it's side you may be able to repair it.
Not sure if you insurance covers off road accidents. You will need to review your policy for that.
Good luck!!

The front driver side flare is completely crushed along with the sheet metal of that panel, the hood, and door. Then I messed up the right side using my body armor rails as a recovery point. That ripped all the nutserts out. I wasn't driving on that slant. I was splitting the middle and the ground gave way under my driver side. I've door this trail many times with no issues. Just goes to show that things change and to watch you line. So I've spent the last two days completely tear down of everything after market. It's back to stock just need some tires. Then I'll get a quote for the body damage. Might end up just getting the smittybilt front corner armor finders just to skip that repair. Gotta see what the body shop wants first
