Plain and simple.

Rubicon for the man that likes to put it in 4 wheel drive hit the lockers..and drive to Starbucks for his morning brew.

Sahara for the man that is in touch with his female side and wants to go shopping in style...and to Starbucks.

Sport for the rugged men of men that builds his jeep to his personal style, does not care about the dog hair, dirt, water getting in and laughs at the other two knowing he has the truer of rigs as he drives through to get his Starbucks coffee.

I already spent a shit ton of money building a mud truck before and this time around I knew I don't need all that when I can buy a Rubi and now I don't need to do gears and lockers, plus I get 4:1 t-case ratio. I don't need 40's and 5.38s to wheel where I need to wheel. If I want to build an all out bad ass rig I would buy a base model sport and strip it bare, but in today's economy I sure as shit don't have the money for that, so it made more sense to buy a Rubi over a sport for me.

As most have said you will be surprised where you can take a JKU. I happen to own one of each and can say hands down I prefer the JKUR. The T-Case makes the rocks so much easier. That being said if you stay out of the rocks and hills the Rubi case is way to low. So it really depends on what type of wheeling you plan on doing. I wheel with mostly JK and JKU guys and they keep up with my JKUR just fine.
