I stuck with the x and spent roughly 2500 on ebay to get it AS close to a rubi without the 12k extra price. Got a set of 5 new rubi rims and tires for 1000, rubi shocks, jks discos, and a few other things like rock rails ect. The front D44 axle I got lucky as after the accident they replaced the 30 with a 44 by mistake. Only thing im missing besides all the power windows, locks, compass, fuel comp ect, is the lockers (would by nice but not really ever needed as of yet) and electric discos as I dont mind pulling the quick discos manually. so all together roughly 21,800 for my jeep compared to 31000 for a fully equiped rubi made more sense to me. although I know the unlimiteds cost more ect, and dont know what the x starting rate is compared to the rubi, but would imagine would be the same dif between the 2 as the 2 doors.

Themore I do with my Rubicon and have to use the lockers the more I know I made the right decision.

But money talks and lockers can be added later.

770+ Posts and you're asking us to help you "decide" You know your answer you want the Rubi.

You're going to suffer from withdrawl. But If you have to suffer "for a while" might as well do it with the Rubi.

But if you can take the 10 grand and dump it into an X, you'll have a more capable offroad machine than a stock Rubi.

Get the Rubi! The gears and the transfer case make quite a difference in the 2dr, I would imagine they would help more with the Unlimited. You should be able to get quite a deal, but be prepared to take a beating on your trade.

I worked a pretty good deal on a x with disconnect and lockers but did not realize you only get rear lockers with the x. Yes i know i have 700+ posts and yes i know i want the rubi

I really want the one I drove in Sav. It is an 09 so I doubt the deal will be as sweet but I guess we will see; if it is still there when I get back from the mouse. Joker, you know who I am going to call first.
