Default Second Thoughts

Ok,

Now that I have been looking around for awhile on this site iam having second thoughts about NOT buying a Unlimited X (because almost all the dealers in my area have them in stock) and ORDERING my Rubicon Unlimited.

Rather than waiting the 8-10 weeks for the Rubicon, I could be out enjoying a Unlimited X right now. Plussss I could have saved about $4500.oo to boot.

The wife alway tells me that I have no patience, maybe she's right. OH I hope not.

Since residual value is related to model year more than build date or mileage, a vehicle which is on order for a while will actually depreciate before it is even built. I know this will blow some people's minds trying to figure it out, but it's true. If you're going to pay the same price now rather than later in the model year, it's best to buy early. Good luck.

Yes, we did a dealer search when I ordered it. There were a few Silver Rubicon Unlimiteds around but they were in the $35000.oo to almost $36000.oo range.

The one I ordered was MSRP at $33035.oo and thats right at my limit.

Silver Unlimited Rubicon 4dr $ 29535.oo
4-speed auto $ 825.oo
Freedom Top (Hardtop) $ 695.oo
Trailer Tow $ 220.oo
Power Convenience Group $ 800.oo
Deep Tint Windows $ 300.oo
DAA (shipping) $ 660.oo

$ 33035.oo

hey boots when did you order your rubi? and I cant believe they told you only 8-10 wks, what dealer you order from? look at Baker in princeton, they have silver one in stock NOW, with everything but the tow package, which you can always add easliy later, its really only the hitch on the rubi

Have you tried the jeep website? go to the build your own jeep thingy, and when you're done it can give you a list of every dealer in your area, then you can click to em to get a list of every jeep they have in stock. You might be able to find one yourself that way

This is a handy tool someone took the time to develop; it shows 55 Rubicon's within 50 miles of you, 2 silver in the same price range as you ordered...

I was going to say the only things on the Rubi you can't get on the X are the Dana 44 front diff, and the electronic front locker. how important are they.

but after looking at the Jeep website, I noticed the X also does not come with or have an option for a rear sway bar??
