tkob1060,

Yep your right, I was just on the "Baker Chrysler Jeep" web-site and Baker does have a Silver Rubicon just about what I ordered. Iam going to call my Dealer tomarrow to see if he could do a dealer trade with them.

Necros,

Yes, at the time I ordered my Rubicon I did look at Jeeps web-site and checked out Dealers in my area. At that time there were a few Rubicons around but only two Silver and both were in the high 35's. That was way out of my target price. of 32 to 33.

SteelMastiff,

I have never seen that link before, very handy. It came up with about the same Rubicons that the Jeep site did.

Thanks Alot Guy's

Boots...

Don't be surprised if the dealer will not trade the unit. My dealer found one the way that I want it and has been trying for two weeks to get it. I gues they have to fax a request to the other dealer to ask for it. He sends one everyay and they wil not respond.

I am very loyal to my dealer since he lives on my street and we have bought so many cars from him. Also, he is giving me a great deal. You may have to decide if you want it bad enough to switch dealers.

BTW, the fact of a vehicle depreciating while it is being built is not 100% accurate. The model year does get older but the mileage for the model year is much lower as you get closer to the next year. You may have a low mileage 08 when you go to get rid of it.

08Unlimitedsahar810,

I won't switch dealers at this point, The dealer that I ordered my Rubicon from gave me a great deal and great trade in. Plus he works with the local 4x4 shop (OK Auto & 4wd) and that's who I deal with for all my parts.

So for me it's a win win, Iam just very short on patience. Iam like a little kid. Don't tell me I can have something then tell me I need to wait to get it.

You're not alone... Trust me! If I really wanted to, I could have purchased the twin to what I have on order a couple of times over but would have to travel to get it; but the wifey tells me just to relax and wait for my ordered JK to come in...

how is OK4wd on pricing? I was thinking of calling them to see what they would charge to install my gears and maybe ft lift...do you know if they will do it if I bought the gears somewhere else?

tkob1060,

I have been dealing with them for about 15 years and alway have done good by me.

If you call them ask for Scott in Service, tell them Tim Horninger sent you. It might help.........

Ya know, this thread hits a nerve! I ordered an '08 Red Rubi in October and my dealer has not even received a VIN yet. Now I just found out from the Jeep website that there is a Stone White Rubi at a dealer about 40 miles up the road that has everything that the Red one has. Then I saw this thread.
So, I'm gonna call my dealer tomorrow. But White over Red? Do I really want a White Jeep? Decisions, decisions. Ow. My head hurts!!

I love the JK in White; if not for the wifes input that is what I'd have on order... I also have found a couple of white Rubicon's close enough for me to go get, just need to pull the trigger on one, or just keep waiting it out on my order.

Anyone else not get back any results no matter which JK they choose?

edit: I tried a San Diego zip code and it worked!
