So i asked...
I have a couple clients of mine that are big time lawyers downtown chicago and they owe me some favors. I would definately consult with them before i posted anything, or even did it for that fact.
To the OP
If I were you, after paying that bill, I would sue them!!!
The fact that a manger called you later, prove that you had a good case.
This is what you need to say next time

Service: oh btw do you go off roading with your jeep at all?
Me: You have no rights to ask me what I do in my personal life,
PLUS - in the Jeep owner manual, there is a hole section dedicated to "Off Rodaing use", AND there is not a single statement about NOT ADVISING TAKING YOUR JEEP OFF THE ROAD.

Could be just me, but: Why didn't you let the manager that called you back try to fix the situation? Sounds like he was probably higher up than the dumb @ss you talked to the first time, and was at least trying to find some way to make you happy (although a couple of oil changes would not have cut it).
Sounds like you dismissed him before you ever gave him a chance to make it right. Just because the first idiot you talked to gave you the run-around, doesn't mean the second guy would have.

yeah i figured that.. i felt kinda of bad but i was just tired of explaining my self all over to him. if he wanted to fix something he should have came out and just told me instead of having me explain, but you are right i did just cut him off. that was my fault i can say that.

If you were to try and sue they would just push it through the court system so long that you cannot afford it. Trust me, I deal with attorneys all day and accidents that people try and sue for lost wages, etc. Unfortunately it's a war that is not easily won without a lot of stress, money and proof.

Trust me, I've used Small Claims court and won a decision against a local Dodge dealer. It cost me $24 (which the Judge made the dealer reimburse me) and one afternoon.

Anyways, I am glad you realize the error of the second convo. I do believe that guy was genuinely trying to make you a happy(er) customer. True, a few oil changes wont make up the difference, but it's a show of good will. I would be hard pressed not to atleast call back and apologize, whether I got the perks offered again or not. But that's just me.
