in my part of the world, citizens don't need no stinkin' permits to carry concealed!, Just strap on that iron and go, remember, AN ARMED SOCIETY IS A POLITE SOCIETY!

The last I knew AZ is the same way. Here in CT you have to have a permit.(bummer) But hey...at least here we can still carry a gun. Unlike Canada or England.

I'm not gonna say what I would do to someone if I caught them stealing anything of mine (Don't want any written proof)
But I will say they would think twice before ever stealing anything again.

I really hope I never catch anyone trying to steal my stuff, I've got leftover issues from when I was a kid and had 2 of my bikes stolen...God help them.

Don't hold me to this, and it may have changed, but I believe AZ is, or was an open carry state. You could wear your guns unconcealed, old west style, but you still need(ed) a permit to carry. Up here the only restriction on carrying is you cannot do so with the intent to commit a crime. Makes for a fairly safe enviroment, and we don't have all that many folks to screw things up, well, except for a bunch of carpet bagging(my appoligies to the southerners, but we got them now!)flatlanders, and a few annoying leaf peepers in the fall.
I will admit, though, I have stopped leaving my keys in the cars and trucks as often as I use to, it's not quite as polite here as it was in the past.

I am with Doc. Ninja.
You don't know about the criminal mind because it is not based on civil thoughts. We all assume that it is a single felon that commits the crime... that is so old fashioned it is entirely laughable. Today felons work in groups because it is faster and more profitable (recon, scouts, entry, cleaners and transport). You are expecting to catch someone in your vehicle and there is someone waiting for you to open your door to your home (more stuff / family in your home). You think the crime is on the driveway and you WILL get ambushed.

Why not call the cops? 9-1-1 works. The police force is PAID to stop crime (and they hate competition) Look out your window and try to get a description of what the person looks like. If you see someone ,activate your home alarm and call a neighbour(s). The last thing that a criminal wants is an audience/witness.

I deal with scum like this every day I work. Sometimes there are things to reduce the chances of crime and others times you have reduce the impact of the crime.

its easier to ID someone and solve the criminal case when they have bled out next to your car... i mean jeep...

I do as well... cops are often forced to arrive and solve a crime after it has been commited and seldom arrive during the commission itself. Victims... however... not only have the oppurtunity to interact immediately... but further have the oppurtunity to stop it or "reduce the impact" By reduce the impact i mean blast the bad guy a few times and then you only have to have your carpet cleaned instead of replacing valuables...

.... i love my second amendment!!
