Spare Tire Under the JK????

Can always throw the spare in the back laying down, or make a mount on the roll bar to have it standing up like it did in the XJs. This, like under a truck, has its limits of course.

I always liked the look of the spare on the outside front/ rear fender.
But with the expansion of the Jeeps over time, this isn't even a
consideration as it would make the JK & JKU about 6-1/2 feet wide...
And there are trails out there that just aren't wide enough for the
JK as it sits now. CJ-5's had it easy in this respect.
See a horse trail.....Turn.....follow horse trail. A JK's route needs to
be planned ahead to tackle such easy trails.

Was thinking of this the other day........
Seems like most every other vehicle nowadays has the spare on the underside of the vehicle. Certainly a convenient out of the way place. Not so much if you are off road and need to change it. I wonder why the JK doesn't go this route.
