Default Tail light Gaurds

Ok, are these useful, or only for decoration? I have them on mine because they were on it when I bought it. Do they really protect anything?

Depends what kind...But to answer your question, if you go thru alot of brush they do reflect the branches that could do harm to your lights. If they are on it already keep em there because they are useful, and some of the light guards look damn nice also

Sounds like good advice. They are the fancy Chrome ones from teh dealership. But they are just a little too shiny.

They do protect your lights but i saw in another post on the Nova Scotia Jeep Club where a guy put them on to protect his lights , on the trail he bumped it and the light guard bent into his rear quarter buckling the body but it did protect his light!

Then that's good. Bent sheetmetal from a trail run gives bragging rights--repair is optional. Broken tail light gets a ticket--repair is mandatory.
