Thinking of Jumping the JK, literally!
The whole point of the Jeeps suspension is to keep the wheels on the ground, not in the air. I think the odds are really good that if you Jump your 4000 pound Jeep you are very likely going to damage something. But hey, then you can have an excuse to buy a new lift kit, new axles, new wheels, transfer case, probably a couple body panels, tranny maybe. You get the idea.

IMHO, if its your daily driver, Id SERIOUSLY think twice about doing it but its your Jeep and your choice.
You ll have the repairs to do if something goes wrong.

I feel a "what was he thinking" vid coming. If it's your only rig I wouldn't do it. I think you should also consider the question: Is this really safe? And finally: Why beat up your rig? Tell your friends to buy a JK and you'll film them.
Well, thanks for the replies. After the first couple replies and me actually thinking about this I'm not going to jump my JK. I have no money for repairs and its my DD. But one day I may.
P.S. that vid... that Jeep got like over 10ft of air. I would never ever jump my JK like that. But that was an awesome vid!

If you really know how to drive spell that race, and you are doing a high speed slow incline jump then there is little problem in doing it.
OTH if you are doing a low speed fast incline jump then there is a lot of stress on the vehicle and you are using the Jeep as a pogo stick.
If you are driving a Toyota then there is certain danger of the typical unexplainable frame crack in the front end.
