Wasn't there a dude on a Toyota FJ forum that totally boned himeself because he jumped his rig? Ended up busting all his welds and shit.

Don't do it.

I jumped my old Cherokee once.... The UCA mount ended up pinching the transmission cooler lines and dumping all of my tranny fluid. I had to park the Jeep in a nearby lot overnight while I got some stuff to fix it and fixed it on site.

OTH if you are doing a low speed fast incline jump then there is a lot of stress on the vehicle and you are using the Jeep as a pogo stick.

If you are driving a Toyota then there is certain danger of the typical unexplainable frame crack in the front end.
A new Toyota, sure, but an old Toyota (back when they made some high quality vehicles) See these two vehicles for reference:

Ah yes, but then you are jumping and landing in that soft middle eastern sand while here in the states the ground tends to be more rocky and hard packed dirt.

Ask again during late weekend hours, I wanna see how many naysayers turn after a few!

Jeeps were made to fly*...

I've jumped a 95 bronco on some small dunes in NC... but they were spaced just right so I went up one, and down the next.

IF YOU DO decide to jump it... do some proper recording, and have tons of cameras setup. Get a few of them in the take off area, a few in the landing area, and a few in between for some mid flight shots. Consider a couple vehicle mounted cameras too. Secure the hell out of the vehicle mounted cameras... don't need that flying off and hitting you in the head.

I'd say no less than 10 cameras should get you a great sequence.

Consider the fact that you may run over a camera or two as well. Thats the expense of a great video.

oh, and all that other stuff people said about jumping your DD...

If you decide to go for it, whatever you do, make sure you get the shot on the first take. You will likely not get another take!!!

Yes, I am being facecious.....no way in hell I'd do that.
