While I agree with this 100% this thread is called "what would you never do to your jeep". Lol everyone has their own taste. Me personally I would never lower my jk or put chrome on it (maybe only black chrome lol)

I haven't seen any in person but I've seen one or two posted around the forum. Jeeps people have seen around, not their own.

People who act like trail locations are some state secret. Run into that a lot in this area.

If they're not saying, then it's probably illegal and they are trespassing.

DO NOT SUPPORT ILLEGAL WHEELING.

That could be one reason, but for the rest of us that wheel on public/permitted land, one of the reasons we do it is to get away from hoards of people. The more attention is drawn to a trail, the more attention it gets from public agencies, it becomes eroded, and is at higher risk for closure or modification.

If it's public, it's hard to be secret about it. But sometimes public trails aren't heavily traveled even though they are public, so not mentioning it isn't being secret; it's an opportunity for you to discover it for yourself.

we had 1200 acres all to ourselves once. Written permission from the land owner and all. Even he joined in at times. We all agreed to not tell anyone. Well, all it took was someone to see us coming or going a few times before they found the access, cut the lock on the gate and let themselves in. I went in after this happened...... Trash everywhere, new mud pits made and somebody even took a bobcat out there to make bigger holes and "hill climbs". Needless to say, we lost the area. For this, I never tell where I she'll. not because it is illegal. More like, keeping it good, the way it is and not risk losing it to some assholes and their lack of respect for anything.

Here's the deal. Every-other oil change is free if I have their tags displayed. So I always display them....well, whenever I come in for a servicing.

Default Painting Stock covers RED

I have aftermarket covers. But if I had stock covers I would not paint them red just to act like I'm cool. I see that a lot driving around.
