Hello,

Thanks for your email. We have corrected the error in our data and apologize for the inconvenience this error has caused. To avoid any further expense in time or fuel on your behalf, we'll issue a UPS call tag which will send the driver to your door to pick the item up. We'll provide a full refund upon return, and also give you a Summit Racing gift card for $50.00 that you can use on anything sold on our web site. We responded to the dispute but it would not allow for comments so we could add our offer of a $50.00 gift card. Please let us know if this works for you and we'll take it from there.

Thanks,

Summit Racing Sales

Sending a driver to my door means having to be there at home not working, costing me money.

You are still missing my request. I want the bumper or I wouldn't have paid for it in the first place. Your company owes me a Swing arm to complete the bumper which was promised in the sale and also clarified by your salesman and also in the picture of the item for sale.

By trying to get me to return the item I still lose out and your company gets away with false advertisement and misrepresenting. Again, unexceptable.

I guess I need to go higher up to get this resolved correctly.

Better Business Bureau is my next step.

Brett

The BBB is always good, but they do not have any way to force them to do anything. In addition to pushing it with Ebay/Paypal, you should give the Attorney General's office for your state a call.

I don't see how there is any possible way your are liable for another red cent when you identified the error in their ad for the product and they confirmed to you that it was included. You didn't even have to do that. Simply put, if they advertised it as included, and it isn't included...that is false advertising and you can have them reported to the Better Business Bureau for investigation. If you tell them that you intend to do that if you don't get your product, they will not like hearing that. And that's beside the fact that you double checked with them. You gave them an out to realize their screw-up and they missed it. Don't give them another penny and don't quit until you have the rest of your set-up.

I second this and echo the comments about customer services these days.....

BBB can be pursuasive...I contacted them regarding some issues with DirecTV and Kohlls and got calls the very next day from reps at the respective companies who straightened out the issues.

As others have said, file Ebay and Paypal complaints. Then file a complaint with your CC stating you did not receive what you paid for. The CC company will imediatley issue a charge back to the company (give you a refund and take the $$ back from Summit). The refund to your account will be temp. pending the CC investigation, but if you printed the AD you WILL win. I have NEVER seen a chargeback situation where the consumer lost. The CC company will then go to bat for you by contacting Summit. Summit will either have to come up with a damn good excuse for taking your payment without shipping the advertised merchandise...

Agree with what everyone is saying. This is one case I would say fight like hell. You did your due-diligence and double checked. They are at fault.

This may offend you and if it does I'm sorry.

You intentionally set out to capitalize on their error and although you should be sent what you ordered and paid for it just seems wrong since you did it with intent. Maybe its not wrong...

Man, this Jeep thing is addictive... but should mods come at the expense of possibly costing someone their job in this tough economy ? We see parts and ethics goes out the window. I don't agree with what your doing. Not cool. Just a fellow Jeepers opinion though.

Would you have done this to Dave at Northridge? If not what's the difference?

Hope it works out for you and them in the best way possible, what ever that may be.

So let me get this straight. You have never found a sale too good to be true and found out it was a just a great deal? He sent them an email to verify is this what you are selling and they confirmed it. Most of the parts on my Jeep I bought when I found a good deal on them.

As far as costing someone there job, if you suck at your job should you shouldn't have a job?

As far as ethics, where is the ethics of the company? They are the one who confirmed yes, this is what you are getting. What happened to standing by your word?

Thats not what happened though. It wasn't a "good deal" (well it is now lol bawahaaa!!!) It was a posting mistake by summit.

The op knew what he was doing. He knew more than likely it was a mistake. That's clear in his post. Thats why he posted.

Just because someone made a mistake doesn't mean they suck at their job. It means ppl fuck up. We all do. Maybe its a single mother with a baby at home.... Or could be a Jersey shore tool...we'll prob never know.

I also stated he should get what he paid for. Meaning the company should honor the ad. I bet they will. Actually I'm suprised they are being such hard a$$s

I like that pic in your avatar BTW.
