Default trailers

Hey guys, we'll this weekend is the first time I'm gonna be using a trailer on my jku just figured I would ask a few questions. It's a small 5by8 which will be holding some camping / paintball gear. Any words from the wise to properly use the trailer? Should I disengage esp? Or is anything really needed other then the obvious extra 9ft behind my truck.

don't say truck or the Jeep police will get you!

Honestly if the weight isn't that high, you should be fine.

I run a 15x6 with 3 Quads and all my gear no problem with my 07 Auto Rubicon. I pretty my have to keep the OD off and it usually travel with ESP off anyway and I really have to pray to highway gods that no one gets in front of me in the mountain passes and slows down my momentum

5x8 you'll hardly know it's there... I turn off OD but never ESP.

If your JKU is an auto tranny, just be sure to turn O/D OFF while pulling your trailer. Other than that, you should be good to go!

If your manual trannyand going up a lot of hills prepare to do a lot of shifting I just had a trailer with a dirt bike a cooler and some other stuff and was down shifting a lot. But then again I had 3 passengers and a lot of gear

Calling your JK a "truck" is a million times better than calling it a "car". I don't know why, but that just gets on my nerves.
As for the trailer, I pull a 6x10 utility trailor with two dirtbikes with my JKU. I just turn the OD off.

I also have a 5x8 trailer that I regularly load up and pull behind my 08 Sahara. No problems!

Well figured out my clutch was probably bad since it decided to go on me right before the George Washington bridge. Fun times
