Default Upgrading Dash to '11 possibilities?

whats up guys

well I'm really thinking about upgrading my dash to 2011 interior.

I know some of you don't like it but I do. so anyone know how much ruffly speaking this would cost? if it's even possible? was there any different body moldings for the 2011? or computer issues? I really like the cleanness of it.

This is completely nuts. As someone already stated: it'll be cheaper to just trade yours on a 2011. Hell, the A/C has switched to digital control, so that's gonna be a massive PITA to sort out. And it's likely just the beginning.

You and your wallet will regret this project. Just walk away.

Hey
I just checked out your current rig. Nice ride and not that old. At this point your Jeep is 2 years old and you made it yours. Go enjoy it. In my opinion you should wait for a new engine and then buy a new Jeep. Don't attempt to put the dash in, save the money for the engine upgrade in the future. My Jeep is an 02 and I want a four door. I just wish that Jeep had addressed the engine complaints with a diesel or V8. Oh well I'll still be happy with my new rig. Hope this helps.

I also like the look of the 2011 dash, but also agree it would be a PITA to changeover.

I agree with everyone in this thread, why would you even think this is a smart thing to do? I could understand loving "your Jeep" because its "yours" and not wanting to get rid of it, but the question you are asking is absolutely insane!!! The reason auto makers change interiors, body styles, etc. is to keep customers coming back to buy newer models, not to keep swapping out pieces of their existing model. Just enjoy what you have and when the time comes, buy a newer model. Chances are they may change it again to something you like even more than the 2011 interior. Sorry, just my .02 cents.

It's not impossible, I don't like the negative comments, of course financially speaking all the parts would have to be bought new. I've done dash swaps before, the main problems I. This situation is the need to replace possibly the main dash frame which is aluminum. Other than that plastic is plastic, other possible problem is the new dash cluster that has changed and has a new information center which may not be compatible with older ecms. It will cost a pretty penny to swap it out , but I would do it once I see some 2011's in the salvage yard, which doesn't take too long, just a couple of months. Other than that, get with mopar oem parts vendors for pricing
