Unhappy What a run-around...

So - DCX says my Jeep shipped out on 1/27... they show it in KZX status (delivered to dealership). Jeep's website allows you to search local dealership's inventory, and guess what? It shows it as part of my dealership's inventory, yet, my dealership swears they don't have it.

Shipped 1/27, from OH to CT... dealership told me that they hoped it would come in on 2/8. On 2/7, they called to let me know that my Jeep would NOT be there on 2/8, but hopefully on 2/15.

So, here were are: 2/15, and haven't heard any updates from the dealership. I called DCX to let them know the situation, and they apparently called my dealership to make sure that my dealership is "devoting the appropriate resources to locating" my Jeep... My salesman calls up, sounds like he just got reamed by his manager, and asks why I called DCX... Duh.

In summary: DCX says my dealership has my Jeep. My dealership says they don't have my Jeep, and that "this is odd. Maybe they shipped it to the wrong dealership."

I WANT IT! I WANT IT! I WANT IT! (tantrum). Sigh... My poor little Jeep is cold and lonely, and MIA... and no one can give me any answers...

Ask your dealer if they have filed a stolen vehicle report yet on it, since they can not find it.

If they haven't, you would be glad to, since you also possess the VIN#

Yeah, right... I think that the call from DCX (my DCX rep got her supervisor involved, too!) put some "fear" into them, and they've promised that they have the dealership manager looking into it, and that they'll call me tomorrow morning and give me an update. I was also told that "maybe it'll get delivered tomorrow." It sure would be a BIG coincidence if it magically appeared after DCX called to b!tch them out...

Hey a Heads Up on this. DC sent my jeep in as regular inventory to my dealer. Luckily my sales guy was watching for it and had to go through the inventory list to find it and get it pulled out. I believe Lowley actually had his sold to someone else before it was caught. (good thing it was before the people took possesion of it) I don't know how exactly they receive from DC and the paper work, but it was different enough that mine was listed in with the normal dealer allocation not seperated as a built for {this person} although that is what it says on the window sticker.

Your not alone! I ordered a JK from a Connecticut dealer 11/7/06. I think my salesman couldn't care less. Been lied to 4 times! Ready to cancel. Damm, I really want it. 2Dr Rubicon, Red Rock Crystal Pearl, all the goodies. Status D as of 2/15/07

I ordered through Crowley in Bristol... they're a big enough organization that it wouldn't surprise me if they had it delivered to a different location than usual and just didn't know it... I'll keep you posted - my salesman promised me a phone call tomorrow morning with an update. Wish me luck!

So, here I am, and it's quarter-past noon... guess that "morning phone call" isn't going to happen now.
