Gave the salesman plenty of time to make good on his promise to call me "in the morning" today - that didn't happen. Called up the dealership, and spoke to their general manager. He told me that, prior to my call today, he hadn't heard anything about this situation, and apologized on behalf of the salesman. I made sure to mention that I had been in touch with Jeep corporate, and that one of their supervisors had contacted his dealership yesterday... he seemed unaware of that, too, and not pleased.

He promised he'd personally look into this and get back to me TODAY. They're 0 for 3 right now with their "promises," so I'm not holding my breath... in fact, I'm starting to think about where to hide the bodies!

Do I need to get God himself involved here? WTF?

Heck, I would be down there sitting on the General Managers desk waiting for him to find my Jeep.

I think it is time to go down there and not leave until you get an answer.

It would really suck if some other guy is rolling around town in the jeep you ordered. Hope all goes well for you.

So - the GM didn't get back to me... he had the salesman (useless) call me back. They're guessing that it's either sitting on a train in upstate NY under 11 feet of snow, or that it was accidentally dropped off at another dealership. They've promised to call me tomorrow after speaking with their "distribution guy" and getting some answers. So to review for those of you reading this, that haven't read all my previous b!tching...

Went from "Shipped 1/27, should be there 2/8 hopefully" to "well, hopefully it'll be there on 2/15" to "we don't know where it is." Meanwhile, Chrysler shows it as delivered to the dealership... this is NOT giving me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. I'm HOPING that it'll come in sometime this coming week (I'm going to hope for 2/22, since they only seem to get their vehicles on a Thursday for some reason), but I'm not going to hold my breath. Bottom line: THIS SUCKS.

I know it'll be worth the wait, but it's really hard not to get pissed about this...

Go down there tomorrow and do not leave until they have a firm answer for you. It's absurd how they've been treating you. If they aren't going to make you a priority on their own, you are going to have to make them make you a priority.

I'd go to the dealer, and searched their lot. I REALLY WOULD! They probably feel like they can make some good $$ on it, above MSRP. Here, the local Dealer has three JK Unlimiteds. 2 "X" Models at $31-33,000.00 and a Rubicon Unlimted for $38,000.00!

This would really PISS me off! I'd get an attorney. Better yet, go down their with the Local Authorities. (I did this once about 10 years ago. They were scared with the Cop present.)

You don't just lose entire vehicles. Someone knows exactly where it is. I would show up when the doors open and not leave until they tell you exactly where it is.

Hey 888, I hope that they didn't sell it to someone else willing to pay more for it and now their trying to cover it up.

When I was still shopping around, that was a senario that my salesman told me about that he has seen
happen before....Just the thought of a person doing that made me want to wrap my hands around someones neck.

I hope you find out soon.

Yea I hope they didn't sell it to someone else too , during that extra week from the 8th to the 15th .
Someone in the dealership must have signed for it when it was delivered , where's all that paperwork ?
Is there any way to track it from the vin #, to see if it was sold to someone else ?
Real bastards........keep the pressure on them !!

If you can do this, I'd really appreciate it.

When I was on the phone with Chrysler last week, there was an awful lot of hold time involved, and I didn't ask them to get a supervisor involved... which makes me question what they saw on their computer screens that made them do so, and have a supervisor call the dealership...

The VIN # is: 1J8FA54197L160127

Thanks again, and I appreciate everyone's feedback and support. I will keep you all posted with my friggin' soap-opera sob story.
