Default What type of discounts are people getting on 08 Jeep Wranglers?

I am leaning towards a 4 door, but still thinking about a 2 door. This will be a third car, and really only used on the weekends with the kids.

The thought about going topless down to the beach year round is blast.

So was wondering what people are seeing as discounts, think we will see any thing special in June?

I just ordered mine at $3250 below MSRP. 27445 became 24195. This was for an unlimited X

My Dealer was quoted with "He'll, they sell themselves. If you wont buy it someone else will."

I knew it was a bluff. But I bought it anyway

Six hours later.

They're still selling pretty well, so anywhere around invoice is good. I paid $200 over invoice, but I know people who paid a little under invoice as well.

I just picked mine up Tuesday, and paid invoice. With gas prices they're wanting to move ANYTHING on the lot.

For every, "I got it $2000 under invoice" here, 3 other people paid full pop (and are happy to have one). I was visiting the dealer on a weekly basis for about two months trying to get them to make a deal. Never happened. They said msrp is the best they could do. I even had the affliate discount with a unique control number. Again, that does not apply to wranglers. I nearly blew a gasket on that day. I tried the fleet department, internet sales. I tried other dealers, and ebay. The story is, Chrysler has so few vehicles that command a premium that they are willing to let you walk rather than take less for one of their only bright sellers. Especially dealers that are not getting large allotments of wranglers.

Luckily for me, I played this game for so long with the dealer that I came across a steal at carmax for a used unlimited X with a locking rear, hardtop, mopar running boards, auto and 4.10s for $22,600 l(about 5k off msrp) with 900 miles on it. I called figuring it must be 9000 miles. No it was 900. Left work early that day and snatched it up. The dealer was none too pleased but I was.

If you want a new wrangler expect to pay close to, if not full msrp, and count yourself lucky if you do better than that. If you want to save some real money, look at used Jeeps. I've notcied that the "For Sale" forum here is beginning to see alot more people selling their Jeep as gas prices go up.

Default I just purchased mine on Saturday

08 Unlimited Rubicon, Freedom Top, Power Pkg., dark tint, 6 speed. Invoice was $29,842 and I paid $30,625.00 - plus they are installing the soft top as well for that price - so I think I got a good deal.

I wish there was 0% financing still!

My '08 Rubi was $100 under invoice. It appears 5 star dealers can do better on pricing.
