Default When to put the hardtop back on

This is a question that i think kills everyone with two tops. Im in the middle of the debate right now...

So I want some opinions from you all>

What are the conditions you need to put the hardtop back on and does anyone else cringe when doing it???

Never!

Seriously though, try going through the winter without it. You might actually like it.

If that's just crazy talk, do it after two weeks of temps that are too cold to ride top down. You might miss one or two warm fronts, but it would suck worse to reinstall the hard top in freezing temps or a snowstorm... unless you have a garage (I don't).

The hardtop for the TJ is staying in the garage this year. Just put the soft top on....not the side or back windows.....trying to keep it somewhat dry. Only have a soft top for the JK so it is not a problem.

I'm going to put the doors back on next week, but I am going to try and keep the top off till at least Nov. It is still pretty nice during the day here, but at 3 a.m. in the morning (when I am heading home form work 32 miles away and all highway) it is starting to get pretty cold.

I normally run.....

Softop May - November

Hardtop - November - April

Here in the South stays pretty warm can sometimes make it till mid December.
The softop is fine all year, that is all I use to have.

Summers suck here, to dang hot and humid. I use my Jeep as a daily so dont want to go to work soaking wet from sweat. I guess I have gotten soft in my old age.

I keep my hardtop on a homemade hoist in the garage so it just lowers down from the ceiling and can install it myself.

I put the hardtop back on last night- it started raining about an hour later and, since I'm in Western Oregon, it prolly won't stop until May-ish. I just bought mine last May, so I had a good run this summer. Oh well, at leat I'm getting better mileage...

Damn south people...

I am planning on putting the hard-top on soon. Its getting a little cool at night, and the GF is not happy when she's freezing...

I'll be waiting on my Woods JK Hard Top Strength Kit (couple weeks maybe)! This will be the first time it's had a hard top on and I don't care to start cracking it right away

Besides, the weather is great around here this time of year though snow can sneak up on us at times.
