I have heard mid may for delivery,but can't get a straigh answer on ordering.

 

I've heard mid-March for ordering, but I would like to know this as well (I'm considering re-ordering a yellow JK since my Aug 06 order still hasn't moved). I think Jeff w/Don-A-Vee promised to keep us posted in another thread. Any news yet??

 

I also heard March 15th as the date for orders to open on Detonator Yellow, but you never know. My dealer said he was going to ask a friend of his who might be in the know. If I hear anything I will post it here.

I wonder when they will begin building? I hope early May... if not sooner.

I, too, am waiting to order a yellow JK. I hope to place the order this month like I've heard from a few other people. I can't wait!!!

Well we should know in two days if the March 15th rumor is true regarding the ability to order Detonator Yellow for the JK. I have my dealer salesman chomping at the bit, and checking availabilty every day. As soon as I know it's ready to order I will first go place mine (that very minute) and then post hear letting folks interested in Yellow know it's available.

I actually just heard back from one of my dealers. Here's the email he received from DC:

"Detonator yellow should be on TOPS next month for May production."

I have no idea what "on TOPS" means...so your guess is as good as mine!

 

I thought up many vulgar meanings for TOPS, but settled on Temporary Order Placement System.

though "The Only Piece of Sheetmetal left in this damn factory because we can't keep up with demand" also came to mind.

 

LOL! That's hysterical! Thanks for the explanation though. They both make total sense.

BTW...I LOVE your avatar! That's one of my favorite games from "way back".
