When that extra 4 grand is spent on lawn furniture or curtains or something else that was UN-NEEDED ( because they are in perfect cond. ) you might have second thoughts about that................

This being the first "New" vehicle I've ever bought and the fact that all my kids have grown I figured even if I don't do extreme off-roading I do have to deal with alot of mud at my camp (especially this past summer). I would just splurge and get myself a Rubicon. Ordered one inlate Jan. couldn't stand the wait. Found one in late Feb almost exactly like I wanted. Bought it. Cancelled original order. Now you can't wipe the off my face. I can only imagine it as getting better along with the weather.

I love the Rubi. I new if I didn't get one, I would be sick about it later, probablly the first time being when I drove a non-Rubi off the lot. Price, etc was not an issue for me, it was what I knew I wanted.

only gripe other then its not here yet is that DC waited till feb to release the selectable locker option. otherwise by a tunners and builders standpoint the X is the best bang for the buck

well for time and material I'd like to see you make your X any better than the rubi for less....and when you lift yours and try to run 35"+ tires on that little front axle and start to break axles then your gona be saying "I wish I would have gotten a Rubi" but then again maby you don't actualy run your JK like I do/will....I've already seen a couple posts about broken axles and well they WERE NOT on a Rubi

lol the rubicon owners are so defiant and defensive...how quaint

i never mentioned anything about building up an X to be better than a Rubicon. i just don't think it's worth it. i haven't seen anyone do anything in a Rubicon that an X or Sahara couldn't handle as well. in fact, i've seen X's from these forums do MORE...why? because most people (not ALL) seem to buy the rubicon just because of the whole "latest/greatest" frame of mind. that's cool, just not for me. don't get me wrong, i think rubicons are great and i'm not trying to take anything away from your precious purchases. but seriously, don't get your panties in a wad when someone points out the simple fact that a vast majority of rubicon owners probably chose that trim level simply because it was the highest offered even though they don't need it and probably won't ever push it pass X/Sahara capabilities. it's the American way

congrats on your purchases.
