Will the 2 door survive.
I believe that they will always make the 2 door jeep.
Here is an example of what is to come. Chevy trucks. 2 door single cab started it all. Then came extended cab. Now 4 door. Guess what. If both trucks have the same options ordered the single cab truck will cost more. Reason-low demand. 4 door trucks sell like crazy and get all the discounts to keep them moving. The two doors are still available but ur gonna pay hard to get it. I have done research on this item because i also want this single cab truck and not a 4 door and the price difference is hard to swallow.
I dont like 4 door trucks cuz they are difficult to park for me.
My 4 door jeep is easy to park. Love it.
2 door jeeps will always be around but i doubt that they will remain the cheaper option due to decreasing demand. Its not popular for middle income households to have a two door anything.
Offroading i rather like the 2 door more but for everyday needs-cargo and more people, the four door is the only acceptable choice.

The wrangler falls in to a niche category, they know they will sell to a certain market at all times. People that want and drive Jeeps, especially wranglers, will buy without incentives every time, so why offer one....that is exactly how my dealer explained it to me...probably the most honest and truthful thing that came out of his mouth ;-)

If there is a 2 door it is a special order. It will come down to 4 door family jeeps and that is it. There is a very small market for 2 door if any. When that time comes the 2 doors will be a classic forever.

If I get a second JEEP it will be a two door.

It gets interesting !!! We live though!!!
True. Almost all hard tops around here too.
I think with the sales the Wranglers have had, we'll see a 2 door for the foreseeable future. I think the increased sales of the 4 door really only makes the 2 door safer by keeping the core components moving.
Personally, I would love to see three core Wrangler vehicles: 2 door SWB, 2 door LWB and Unlimited, all with gas or disel engine options. Now that's a stable of Jeeps to please anyone!
