Will the 2 door survive.
I agree that Jeep could never drop the two door, it is an ICON! However, I think I see way more Unlimited JK's. There are tons of 2 doors Jeeps on the road (CJ's, YJ's, TJ's) but I think there are more JKU's than JK's. If you look through Chryslers sales records, they record the Wrangler as one vehicle and do not differentiate between the 2 door and 4 door.

I think your situation dictates. I used to have a 2 door YJ. Now with 2 kids it is so much easier to go wheelin' with the 4 doors and the extra cargo space of Unlimited. One draw back though is that my four door will bottom out over the same terrain a 2 door jeep just rolls over with that shorter wheelbase.
Long live the 2 dr. Now that I have read most of this , the 2 dr will survive because of legend. No how many of you's with 2 drs only use the front seats. I took my rear out a month after I got my Jeep. Its just a 2 seater now and forever.
I meant the numbers that are available to the public are not separated by 2 door and 4 door. The general monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales reports are posted all over the internet.
In my own opinion I think the 2 door will eventually be phased out. You look at all the 4 doors out there. They out number 2 door's 10 -1 at least. You look at all the older people buying 4 door jeeps. Young families buying 4 door jeeps. Former Hummer owners buying 4 door jeeps. I go past the dealer all the time and only see 4 door jeeps. If there is a 2 door it is a special order. It will come down to 4 door family jeeps and that is it. There is a very small market for 2 door if any. When that time comes the 2 doors will be a classic forever.
The 2 two door is the original and the better looking to my eyes (and for tight turns off road).
yep same here.. lost the rear seat after I first got my jeep. The perfect size for me, the wife, and our dog.
