Wish I bought now rather than last year!!! Huge price differences!!

Fed's cutting interest rates. Expect prices to increase.

I'd say prices won't get much lower. After dealers clear the '08 inventories, they aren't going to order many '09s in order to keep prices in line. Right now they aren't making much (if anything) on the '08s, and it will continue to be that way until they get them cleared out.

Companies also know that there is no point to continuing to cut prices if no one is buying, so there is a minimum they're going to accept. I just dealt with this and ended up purchasing a used '07 instead, and was able to get a really good deal on it. Dealers are also willing cut prices substantially on any used inventory in order to get some cars sold

What dealer are you talking about? I am really interested, my dealer said the most they are giving back is $1500 on an 08.

Yes they did, "No one is offering $5k off a Wrangler, that will never happen" is actually what they said. I don't care, if I can go somewhere else cheaper, its their problem. You down for a road trip

Exactly. It causes folks to ask OP's original question: Why buy today if it will be cheaper tomorrow? And the economy comes to a screeching halt.

Buy it today--because it will be better for you and America in the long run.
