We absolutely love our 4-door X with automatic transmission and the dual top group. We have no regrets what-so-ever.

The only thing I would mention is the color. Our order took so long and I was without a vehicle at the time. During one of our order status check ups, we learned that the Flame Red X we originally put our name on would be delivered more than another month later. So, rather than wait that long for the Flame Red color I really wanted, my dealer allowed me to put my name on another JK on order with an earlier projected delivery date that had not yet been claimed by anyone. So, I switched to a Jeep Green color and got it more than a month sooner than we would have received the Flame Red one. Flame Red was always my first choice, but I always considered the Jeep Green color to be an acceptable 2nd, choice. And, now we really LOVE IT -- even though it is not the original Flame Red color that I really wanted.

I ordered a Rescue Green 4dr Rubicon with dual tops power group and a few insignificant other options on 1-30-07. After reading all the stories of the build delays I found one locally with the forementioned options but not the insignificant ones. Took a beating on the price but love the jeep.

No regrets but will never deal with the dealer I used ever again.

It looks way cooler with the Rubicon hood emblem *blink* *Upside to not having it: I cant mash it on rocks & break it, while having to manually disco makes me pause and think to myself: "Should i really be doing this??"
  • Dual Top option - would like the hardtop for the winter so i could scrape the windows as needed & hit the autowash without cringing.
  • Tow hitch, it would be there & be done with, instead of me having to add it later.

I guess that is about it.
Exactly my thoughts.

Although ours is a standard.
I wish we got a Rescue green Rubicon!

GOOD : The fun factor is high,I get a big kick out of it everytime I get in it. BAD: I think the Reverse gear is to high and don't life the low back shock mounts. 2-Door Rubicon with a 6-speed manual.
