We were on the fence for the first 20000 miles with the supercharger - frankly we expected it to blow. But it didn't - so we raised the boost - and it still went - we raised it again and still trucking. At 33000 we took the engine apart and were amazed at the integrity of the internals... its got over 40k now all with the supercharger and still going strong.
That amazement came again when we tested a 6speed at 260ish there was nearly 30 more HP at the rear wheels than the auto - and the torque hit 271lb/ft.
The 3.8 we love ITS A TANK- the trans setting and final drive - we don't - the majority of the power issues are with the automatic and the fact that the trans goes into torque conveter lock up way to early.
