I didn't see the fire itself, but the aftermath. I couldn't remember hearing any news about them though, and figured it was a controlled burn. Maybe to clear brush for future development.

I plan on heading down the Jeep trail from the Sella Bay/Spanish Bridge trailhead this weekend. More pictures to come! I'd also love to hit up the tank farm before I leave.

 

The fire was a wild fire. There's really no controlled burns here because a lot are started by hunters but a few by people wanting to clear some land to farm.

My primo has a bad ass Toyota for off roading here. I really need another lift but can do some of the easier trails. I have 35's but they aren't good enough with all the ruts that the bigger tires have created.

 

We might have to hook up before you leave. I work on Big Navy (retired Navy also). I have a green 4dr JK with 35's and stickers on the hood that say Team Gote.
