Default Got Fence? Border in Jacumba, CA

Did a little trail wheeling today east of San Diego in near Jacumba, CA. These are views of a valley, the enormous border fence; some shamelessly with the JK in the foreground The fence uprights are 6x6 steel, it is approximately 18 feet tall. It cost about $10 million per mile...

Now this is a gate

$10mil/mile, huh...

Well, I guess $19.5 billion of the "Stimulus package" should be earmarked to complete that, huh...

Now that is some beautiful countryside. Thanks for the info about the fence. Pretty amazing what it costs for a fence. Great shots of the JK. I would have taken the same shameless shots if it were my Jeep.

That fence is cheap at twice the price. Hell, cheap at 10x the price.

And the countryside is spectacular!

Nice pics..sweet Jeep! I still think "Bouncing Betty's" would have been more effective and less of an "eyefull"!

Very interesting. Living here, way up north, I never thought about the fact there might be a fence. Amazing! Thanks for the pic, nice Jeep, nice scenery.

thats pretty cool looking! but... it looks like it stops at the mountain... if i was a mexican... i would go around.

i am all up for keep ills out and booting the ones that are here and too lazy to go through the process of citizenship like my dad did... but nothing takes away from the beauty of open land like a big ass metal wall. they should paint it or something... hell, our gub'ment already like to waste our money... why dont they dismantle all those illegal traffic enforcement cameras and use that money for paint!

... but thats right... who is going to paint it? all the folks that cant come into the country anymore.

I remember a comedy skit about "the wall" and the comedian (mexican) was joking about the time estimate for completion being many years. He said that "WE could have it done in a week", but could picture all the white people standing around and telling them, "when you guys finish building it... we are going to need you to be on the otherside."
