Many people here can't get past Hummer. I'm not here to bash Jeeps. This thread is a made up story bashing Hummers.

 

I admit I made a mistake on your location, but come one... It does say SL,UT.

You drove up the piles.. good for you. Then you should know that only 50% of off roding is the vehicle and the other 50% is the driver. I have seen people drive Jeeps with $5k in it and couldn't get over areas that I have seen stock Jeeps in.

Again, not worried what you think. If the guy drove an FJ, 4Runner, or any other 4x4 then I would have said that. He was like most Hummer drivers around here that think they are king shit and he was proved wrong. NOTE: I said most not all (before you get all defensive about it).

I'm not surprised. The fact is we all have pride in our choice of brand and many have established loyalty to Jeep.

That is completely cool with me, because I respect Jeep.

I won't be able to convince anyone that doesn't yet notice........that wheeling is under attack. The ultra-greenies are trying to close the trails........why, I don't know.

In Moab for instance, many of the areas they would like to close will become almost completely isolated. No one can carry enough water with them for an extended trip out there without vehicles or roads.

They are still trying to close them anyway. Many of the Board members of the "Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance" are city dwellers living on the East coast.

Politics suck I know.........but wheeling Moab kicks ass.

I couldn't care less what someone else wheels.......but I will fight for that Jeepers right to wheel!

Try living in the heart of the greenie's. I really cannot see there point but the lobby better than off-roaders. We work and play hard and they just sit around thinking of ways to ruin things for everyone. Don't get me wrong there are yahoo's out there and they a killing it for us.

Whats wrong with people trying to save our somewhat wild areas....here on the east coast i cant travel anywhere without finding a piece of shit redneck trailer or a gas station or wendys...we let this happen....the more people frequent areas the more they will be developed. its nice to let these areas stay "Green" so that we can have weekend excursions without seeing some trash devlopment.

Some people obviously take it to far, as do the righties who would like to nuke iraq. what would you rather have though?

 

What we have here.....are people that don't live here, trying to tell us that we should not be wheeling our trucks.

They form an "alliance" and fund lawyers to file suits to close trails in our backyards. They won't even bother to visit many of these areas themselves......they couldn't if they tried.......because you can't carry enough water to last out there on foot.

This is some of the best wheeling in the country and brings revenue to the local community. The 4x4's and mountain bikes, ATV's and motorcycles all share the trails they are trying to close.
