I know, I know,....I'm just messin around, just tierd of being over here and venting b/c of it. I'm not here to discuss politics or anything of the nature. Now, back to why Jeeps are better than hummers....

Where here have I extolled the virtues of the Hummer? Where have I acted as a fanboy for Hummer? I simply stated that I have a couple of them.

What I have said, over and over is that we should be less concerned about brand, and that we should stick together as wheelers.

What I keep hearing about here, is how Hummer owners act.

Look at this thread. How are the majority of Jeep owners acting toward me (including yourself), and I have said nothing against Jeep whatsoever. Many here have attacked Hummer.

The Hummers were not my first vehicles. True of most Hummer owners, many are past Jeep owners. On Hummer boards we joke with other brands too, but I'm confident with my choice of vehicle.

I don't feel I have to put down another rig to feel better about my choices. Joking is cool, but look at how many feel they have to say how much they hate Hummer? Why? How does what someone else drives effect you?

This is what I have been talking about........we will never stand together while we are like this.

We have Jeep drivers on every Hummer board I post on. We sometimes give each other shit over brand, but we all know it's in fun.

I didn't come here as a troll. I posted with the same name I use on the other forums. I will wheel with anyone, I don't claim my vehicles can run some of the extreme trails others I know can run. Someday I want to build a buggy, but for now, I drive my Hummer around my city, and down to Moab, wheel 4+ trails and then drive home.

I said it earlier........if you are gonna run a Hummer off road, you have no choice but to get along with the Heepers.

 

You stuck up for the Hummer brand on a decidedly anti-Hummer thread, which is the reason for my post that you quoted. Honestly, it's nothing personal - I don't have anything against you as a person, and you do raise a good point that us wheelers need to stick together. That being said, it's my opinion that this Jeep forum is not the appropriate place to try to garner support for Hummer owners. Just my $.02, and you're welcome to disagree with me - you won't be the first!

 

Well if we are going to post up better offroad rigs then a hummer, the m37 is a good choice, but i think the unimog has them both beat... i think its probably the most capable stock vehicle there is...

I did point out that I thought it was B.S. (still do). I have wheeled with several Jeeps, some highly modified ones with experienced drivers. I know first-hand what the vehicles are capable of.

This Jeep forum is no different than other Jeep forums (and Hummer forums and FJCruiser forums) all are about that particular vehicle.

I watched other Jeep owners reach out to wheelers on Hummer forums. They were met much like I have been here. I respected that they did it anyway.

I'm not trying to garner support for Hummers, not at all. I understand loyalty and Jeep pride. I chose a Hummer for my own reasons, just like you chose Jeep.

What we each drive doesn't really effect each other. Your choices don't make me feel any different about my choices.

We both like to wheel our rigs though. When someone else tries to take that right away, we should stand together. If I'm stuck in the mud (in real life) I bet you would offer assistance (although 8000 pounds stuck in the mud can be an intense challenge). I know I would offer assistance to you. It can get pretty lonely in the back-country when you have a problem, and the only ones we could count on are each other. If you were stuck and I pulled you out would that shame you? Why? Is anyone here above getting stuck or broken?

Please understand that all these Hummer hate threads here, look to me like insecurity. If everyone here knows what their own vehicle is capable of.........why give a rats ass what anyone else is driving? There are many JK wheelers here that haven't said anything about any other rigs. They don't have to.

We really are in this together.

Right after you joined you have done nothing by give others people on here shit and of course your gonna call B.S. on this. YOU HAVE A HUMMER. Why would you put down your type of vehicle. You have done nothing on here but defend Hummers. All anyone has to do is look at your previous post and they can see that.

You act like you came here to share your AWESOME WISDOM OF OFF ROADING KNOWLEDGE. You have been an ass to a lot of people on here. Which just proves what we have stated about most (NOT ALL) Hummer drivers on here.

Get over your self. Because in all honesty no one on here give a crap that you drive a Hummer. Your money, your choice. Either shut up already or start sharing the so called knowledge you have, and be a REAL off roader and help your fellow Off Roader.

You act like your are Hummer Man of the Year because you have off roaded with Jeepers. I have wheeled with a Hummer H2, Silverado's, stock Cherokee's, Blazers, and a ton of other ones. WHO CARES.

I have defended myself, (good choice of words). I have defended my vehicle.

To answer some of your questions; I am here in an attempt to change some perspectives. Many Jeepers don't know anything about Hummers. What in many cases they think they know, is not correct.

I find it interesting that you only post up after your original post is called into question. "I got challanged by a Hummer today". I posted on this thread specifically because it demonstrated what I have been talking about.

We are all effected by perspective, from mine......it seemed that no one here would listen to anything I said initially, because I was perceived as having no reason or no good reason to be here. Sophistry.

I have spelled out why I'm here. I have wheeled with Jeeps, yes. I know they have advantages in the rocks.......primarily articulation and weight. That can also translate to traction. This is not a competition for me. It also doesn't make me insecure about my choices........sometimes in the rocks it does make me envious.

I have no hidden agenda....I've spelled it out. I'm not trying to be a saint, that aint me. I don't have to be a saint to call for wheelers to get along and watch each others backs in the back-country. Many Jeepers are already doing this, hell I took their lead.

Reading this thread made me think about what is wrong. Someone with a nice Jeep made up a story about besting a Hummer for pats on the back by his fellow Jeepers.

I see why your defending your story........but it's time to take it like a man.

Your come on a JEEP FORUM to try to change minds about Hummers??? If we liked Hummers then why did we buy Jeeps?

You say that you came here to change minds about Hummers? You have been nothing but an Ass on here. You are only what has been said about most Hummer drivers. If anything you have made people dislike Hummer owners even more.

You call people Liberals like it's a bad thing. I'm not a Liberal and don't care if someone is. Each person is entitled to be part of what they want to be part of.
